Set20- Children's Museum Gear Exhibit

Children are inspired and eager to learn when introduced to hands-on exhibits such as Cogworks Set20.  Set20 is a two sided display with an overhead inspirational banner based made from our Set10 components. The main board allows two different gear sizes to be arranged in a matrix pattern. The gears are made from Cherry and six other different hardwoods, with inlays and differing center cut hole patterns to make an exciting display.  The gear location pins are made from brass for strength. Three cranks each side are fixed to the board making a total of six work areas. Gear creations can be joined between cranks; this encourages teamwork.

Note: Set20 is also available as a single sided display. This layout requires a very small footprint. The single sided display must be securely fastened to a wall.  Display includes the banner shown left. Please order Set20-Wall

 

 

 

 

Set20- Inspirational Banner

The Set20 banner is made up from pulleys, gears, and soft belts. It is intended to motivate children's interest and interaction with the gear board positioned directly below. The gears can be cranked to rotate adjoining gears. The banner is positioned at a height out of reach to very small children, but accessible to older children and adults.

 

 

Set20- Fixed Side Cog Display

The Set20 exhibit features a gear side display which can be cranked. The gears cannot be removed. It is useful to inspire designs on the main board
